Very good looking young horse with 3 correct, flowing and powerful paces. An extremely strong canter gives the impression that he will be a real jumper. Snaffle mouthed and riding well on the flat with a lovely trainable attitude. XC schooled proving to be very brave. Lovely careful jump. A very exciting horse for the future.

Tiger Lily is a super mare with a lot of potential for the future. Her jump gives an electric feeling and she carries her canter in a fantastic way. We are very excited about this promising mares future. Fantastic record jumping the 6 year old classes in Spain this year.

Nala is a beautiful, exciting prospect. Having come from the Eventing world, Poppy hopes that Nala will progress well this year.

An exceptionally talented young horse, just starting his jumping career. We are extremely excited to see what the future holds for him.

Le Gouverneur

A really exciting horse for the bigger tracks. Millar has already had a successful career in Ireland and we hope he can continue this form with Poppy. Currently competing successfully at 1.45 with Poppy. 

Master Millar

Poppy is a 27 year old, young showjumper.

Poppy started with a successful pony career qualifying and competing at the likes of Olympia, Royal International Horse Show as well as competing and winning a gold medal for England.

Poppy’s young rider career was made prominent by her hugely competitive little mare, Utopia USA. Learning together from 1.30 level right the way to 2* Grand Prix’s and being selected to be part of the Young Riders squad.

Moving forward Poppy is continuing to produce her horses up to Grand Prix level having grown a relationship with some very supportive owners. Together in partnership they hope to have a lovely group of horses for the future.

Experience our newly built 70×35 Equestrian surfaces arena by hire.

Our fantastic arena is equipped with a full set of JP Equestrian show jumps.

There is also the availability to hire the circular gallop surrounding the arena.

T&C’s

A properly fitting riding hat, meeting current British safety standards as set out by the British Equestrian Trade Association (BETA) must be worn at all times by anyone riding a horse/pony at Woods Folly.
The gate to the school must be shut at all times during each session.
All droppings must be picked up and the jumps left as they were found.
No horse/pony is to be left unattended unless secured in a lorry or trailer attached to a vehicle.
No tying up horses on the sides of lorries or trailers.
No smoking is permitted on the premises.
All rubbish must be disposed of in the bins provided.
Any breakages or damage to equipment must be reported immediately and paid for at cost price from JP Equestrian Ltd.
Any accidents/ injuries must be reported in writing
You must adhere to your allotted time slot.
All dogs must be kept on a lead and left in vehicles during school hire – no dogs are allowed in the school.
No refunds within 48hours of booked slot.

Arena Hire

Former International Showjumper representing Great Britain, Bernice has won classes at all levels including at the Horse Of The Year Show,Olympia,and at Hickstead. Bernice is also a renowned producer of top class showjumpers and eventers, King William, Star Appeal both competed at the OLYMPIC GAMES & both Badminton winners for Mary King. As well as Miami, America etc just some of the long list of top class horses sourced and carefully brought on by Bernice at Woods Folly.

Poppy has availability for training at her base in Newbury, Berkshire. Whether that be bringing your horse for day training/ overnight stays, Poppy can cater to your needs.

She is also available to come to you as well as training at shows.

Training

Poppy is based at Woods Folly in 24 picturesque acres just outside of Newbury, Berkshire.

Woods folly boasts 5 star facilities for sports horses with 35 indoor stables, wash boxes with solariums, monarch walkers and much more including an outdoor arena, fully lit indoor arena and all weather circular gallops. Alongside miles of off road hacking and all year round turn out making woods folly a perfect training facility for any aspiring Show Jumper.

All Woods Folly stables are equipped with rubber matting, automatic water drinkers and hay racks.
Living on site in the Stronge’s family home, the horses can be assured 24 hour care and management.

Facilities

Poppy has a very successful sales livery record with proactive selling and realistically priced packages to suit all. Each horse is individually catered for to enable the most successful sale possible for the current owner as well as selling to suitable homes with the horse’s future being a priority. if you would like to have your horse at sales livery with Poppy please  contact us for more information.
